NouvEON announces the Transmission Billing System Go-Live for Regional Utility

Charlotte, N.C. (May 6, 2009)- NouvEON completed a successful launch of a new transmission billing system for a regional utility company.

Providing the platform for the new transmission billing system is the Oracle Lodestar Customer Choice software application, a market leading solution that allows energy providers to track, verify, calculate and report complex energy usage in field meters and provides greater compliance with Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) energy reservations and tags. The system uses hundreds of energy practice calculations and business rules to generate invoices and reports for the client’s industrial and municipal electrical transmission partners. 

NouvEON provided a team of experienced consultants to support the full cycle implementation of this solution. The project team consisted of project manager, business analysts, integration specialists, Lodestar experts in rules language development, testing leads and application security specialists. This integrated solutions team designed, developed, and tested the Oracle Lodestar software application. The effort has lasted 12 months and is now in production support mode.
