NouvEON 5th Annual Golf Tournament Raises $4,000 for Local Teen’s College Fund
CHARLOTTE -- NouvEON hosted its 5th Annual Golf Tournament at Raintree Country Club in Charlotte, N.C. on Oct. 6.A day of fun, friends and fellowship, the tournament is a fundraiser for Buddy’s Fund, a college scholarship fund created in honor of Tristan “Buddy” Withers. Withers, a high school junior, is the son of a NouvEON employee who passed away suddenly in three years ago to breast cancer.
Thanks to a day of “captain’s choice” golfing, a silent auction and raffle, and the generosity of NouvEON employees and clients, the event raised more than $4,000 for the scholarship fund. NouvEON also presented Withers with a new laptop, software, printer and to help prepare him for college.
“We are pleased with the amount of money we were able to raise”, said T.J. Eberle, president and CEO, "It was great to see our company and friends rally behind such a worthy cause.”
More than 100 people participated in NouvEON Golf Tournament. The event was made possible by 13 sponsors, including Merrill Lynch, BB&T, The Charlotte Business Journal, DPI, Artizen and Ravenwood Consulting Group. Lunch was provided by the Compass Group. Players spent the day on the course conversing about the state of the economy and political/environmental issues.
“We are encouraged to see the generous response NouvEON has received with this 5th Annual Golf Tournament, and hope that our future golf tournaments can equal this event’s enthusiasm and positive support for Buddy’s Fund,” said Jeff Hobensack, director of finance and administration. |
