Fresh off the company’s five-year anniversary, NouvEON, under the guidance of President and CEO T.J. Eberle, has used its geographically-focused, quality-driven style of business and technology consulting to propel itself into the forefront of the Charlotte business scene.
“NouvEON is my first venture from ground up,” Eberle says. “We were fortunate enough to found it in February of 2003 without a whole lot of money in the bank or signed contracts, and have been fortunate enough to grow it substantially for the past five years.”
NouvEON has been headquartered in Charlotte since its birth. In addition to maintaining an office in Jacksonville, Fla., the company recently expanded operations to include an office in Raleigh.
The company, which prides itself on finding the perfect balance of cost to the customer and quality of service delivered, has won numerous awards, including the Charlotte Chamber of Commerce’s Blue Diamond Award in 2005.
“One of the phrases we use quite a bit is that, together, we are making great things happen,” Eberle says. “That is the motto we strive to do our business by.”
The emphasis the company places on working together and cohesiveness is exemplified by its Employee Owned Network – the EON in NouvEON. Under this system, every employee owns a portion of the company.
“The network side of Employee Owned Network means that we’ve not only surrounded ourselves with great people in our organization, but we’ve also built a network of other professionals that we can tap into for specific industry or technology or functional expertise when needed,” Eberle says. “It’s our ability to scale with that expertise that is unique in the marketplace.”
Another unique aspect of NouvEON is its adherence to the acronym LIFT. Its following principles guide and influence every portion of the company’s day-to-day operations: •-Local Accountability – The company focuses on delivering solutions locally, as opposed to attempting to stretch itself across the globe. By doing so, it reduces cost and increases responsiveness and commitment.
•-Industry Knowledge – NouvEON employs professionals who bring knowledge of numerous industries to the table, including utilities, financial service, manufacturing, retail and health care.
•-Flexible Delivery Model – An emphasis is placed on being able to provide clients solutions on both project and a longer-term contract basis, as well as staff augmentation and permanent resources.
•-Technology Business Solutions – Technological consulting is also a priority for NouvEON, and the company offers custom application development – typically in the Microsoft technical suite – mobile computing solutions and portal development, in addition to business consulting services.
With such a strong foundation of corporate values, it is unsurprising that the company has maintained and fostered excellent relationships with the clients with which it has partnered. This is reflected in NouvEON’s 100 percent referencability benchmark.
“Every client we’ve done business with over the past five years is a reference for us today,” Eberle says. “That doesn’t mean that everything is perfect; dealing with people and technology, you will always have challenges.
But it’s really our ability to be proactive in our delivery, and the expertise we provide in those engagements and how we partner with our clients to focus on and ensure their success.” NouvEON is currently positioned to serve an incredible variety of clients in the Charlotte area, and it is focused on maintaining current business relationships while exploring new possibilities for continued growth.
“We’re experiencing another spike in growth, and probably the most exciting part of that is we’ve continued to add some very high-caliber professionals that are very experienced in the consulting industry,” Eberle says.
“We have deepened our penetration into some of the larger companies here in Charlotte. We’re doing this while still serving the middle market and some of the smaller companies on a very strategic basis.”
In the near future, Eberle and NouvEON hope to continue their expansion, with the goal of opening an office every year for the next five years.
With an objective of maintaining eight offices in the southeastern portion of the United States, the company hopes to eventually serve the area from southern Virginia down through Florida. “We want to grow as fast as profits will enable us to, which includes continuing to invest in our existing locations, but open other offices throughout the southeast,” Eberle says.
