Purpose and Scope: 

 

The Senior Managing Consultant is primarily responsible for delivering the engagement work as defined by the client contract. The consultant is responsible for the plans and management of engagements or workstreams along with the gathering of facts, analyzing the client's business, drawing conclusions, preparing final reports, and giving presentations.  He/She must work effectively with others at all levels of an organization with team members, senior leaders, and clients -- and manage client relationships, along with developing junior consultants and supporting some revenue generation responsibilities. He/She participates in the development of methodologies and toolkits that differentiate NouvEON by streamlining solution delivery and increasing the repeatability of success. A Managing Consultant ensures that consulting services and implementation projects are delivered in a profitable and timely manner while driving the escalation of significant customer issues to resolution via cross-functional coordination.

 

 Major Accountabilities:

 

  • Oversees and/or drives successful delivery of the engagement work as defined by the client contract:
  • Provides project direction and escalation management for significant customer projects.
  • Set priorities, manages time effectively, guides and directs the activities of subordinate team members and works effectively both independently and within team structures.
  • Monitors project hours and cost estimates to ensure profitable and timely solutions.
  • Maintains 80- 95% billable status on strategic projects to grow strategic accounts and extend 100% referenceability
  • Acts as a mentor to junior staff members, to help leverage their skills and experience and support continuous improvement.
  • Assist the Sales and Marketing function by providing expert advice, guidance and support on Services related elements of sales proposals and presentations.
  • Attends prospective customer meetings and presentations to facilitate the acceptance of the approach, methodology and capabilities
  • Attend/present at company-related seminars, conferences, etc. as necessary
  • Supports development and evolution of SMS solution methodologies and supporting toolkits.
  • Assists with the recruitment and coordination of resources
  • Acts as a change agent to continuously optimize the structure, strategy, procedures and processes of the Practice, and ensure alignment with current and future business needs.

·         Project Management experience: Managing large scale projects with significant tactical or strategic impacts; defining project scope; planning major project phases; and establishing project success factors.

·         Six Sigma Black Belt with a focus on improving process performance leveraging Lean or Lean Six Sigma approaches

Our Consultants may be based in Charlotte or Raleigh, NC or be aligned with a national practice with 100% travel potential.

Experience Required:

·         Big 4 / large consulting firm background is required. (Over 80% of our Consultants have a Big 4/Large Consulting firm background)

·         The ideal candidate will have at least 15 yrs overall Change Management experience; preferably with a background that includes multiple industries; Financial Services, Retail, Energy, Healthcare, Pharmaceuticals & software industry

·         Senior level Change Management experience; must have successfully led large, complex, enterprise-wide projects large in scope and complexity from start to completion & have strong expertise in Change Management methodologies

·         Prosci or ADKAR expertise a strong plus as well as PMP Certification

 

Professional Responsibilities:

 

The Change Management Consultant will play a key role in helping projects (change initiatives) meet business, schedule and budget objectives. This person will focus on the people side of change – including changes to business processes, systems and technology, job roles and organization structures. The primary focus will be creating and implementing change management plans that minimize employee resistance and maximize employee engagement. The Change Management Consultant will work to drive faster adoption, greater ultimate utilization and higher proficiency on the changes impacting employees in the organization such that business results are achieved.

 

  • Apply a structured change management approach and methodology for the people side change caused by projects and change efforts.
  • Develop a change management strategy based on a situational awareness of the details of the change and the groups being impacted by the change.
  • Identify potential people-side risks and anticipated points of resistance, and develop specific plans to mitigate or address the concerns.
  • Conduct readiness assessments, evaluate results and present findings in a logical and easy-to-understand manner.
  • Develop a set of actionable and targeted change management plans – including communication plan, sponsor roadmap, coaching plan, training plan and resistance management plan.
  • Support the execution of plans by employee-facing managers and business leaders.
  • Be an active and visible coach to executive leaders who are change sponsors.
  • Create and manage measurement systems to track adoption, utilization and proficiency of individual changes.
  • Identify resistance and performance gaps, and work to develop and implement corrective actions
  • Create and enable reinforcement mechanisms and celebrations of success.
  • Work with project teams to integrate change management activities into the overall project plan.
